Non ancora pubblicato in Italia. Romanticismo e omicidio si mischiano perfettamente nell’ultimo romanzo di Tessa Bailey.
This is my first novel by Tessa Bailey, but since I’ve been seeing her books no-stop and everywhere on my Instagram timeline, I finally caved in and decided to give it a try and I wasn’t disappointed. The protagonists of the story couldn’t be more different. Taylor Bassey is a second-grade teacher who used all her savings to pay for an expensive holiday for her and her heartbroken brother at Cape Cod only to find the owner of the house they rented murdered. Myles Sumner is a former detective turned head-hunter who is hired by the victim’s sister to investigate the murder. She is Miss Sunshine, he is Mister Grumpy and when Taylor refuses to stay away from his investigation because she listens to many crime podcasts and she can help him, Myles can’t seem to be able to refuse her.
I had fun reading this book one Sunday afternoon, on the beach. The characters are likable and the story is enjoyable and thrilling. Mystery, romance, and comedy mix very well together in this entertaining novel!
