Il primo libro pubblicato in Italia con il titolo Il visconte incriminato. Omicidi, intrighi politici, e segreti nell’Inghilterra regency e un visconte determinato a trovare giustizia.

Today I want to talk about one of my favourite series, the Sebastian St. Cyr series by C. S. Harris. An historical mystery series set in Regency England, its protagonist is Sebastian St. Cyr, Viscount Devlin, who, after being accused of murder in the first book, now helps the London police solve murders, especially when it involves aristocracy. Helped by his wife Hero and Bow Street magistrate Sir Henry Lovejoy, Sebastian investigates murders and often finds himself in danger.

So far, nineteen books have been published (the twentieth is coming out next April) and I have read and adored the first nine. There is a lot of suspense and twists and turns, but what I love most about this series is how the author manages to intertwine perfectly true historical facts and real life people in the plot, like Prince George “Prinny” and the French royals in exile during the Napoleonic wars. If you love historical fiction and are looking for something immersive and gripping, then you won’t be able to resist the Sebastian St. Cyr series.
