It’s the spring of 1940. Europe is right in the middle of World War II and for Tommy and Tuppence it’s been more than twenty years since their last investigation. Now in their forties and with two grown children, they watch helplessly as the war unfolds and the young take center stage, while they are left on the sidelines. Luckily, a secret agent, Mr. Grant, asks them to go undercover in the seaside hotel of Sans Souci to expose a Nazi man and woman posing as ordinary citizens.
This was a fun read. There is a cast of colorful characters, a twisty plot, and the effects of the war in the background. While the Hercule Poirot stories are still my favourite, I am really enjoying the Tommy and Tuppence series and I am looking forward to reading the next one.
